SureTides is committed to making our website and provider portal usable by everyone who works in the practices we supply, including people who use assistive technology. This statement describes where we stand, what we have done, what we know still needs work, and how to reach a person if you hit a barrier.
Accessibility is a practical requirement, not a checkbox. Office managers, purchasing agents, and clinicians all place orders under time pressure, and some of them use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, magnification, or voice control. We aim to make every core task — applying for an account, browsing the catalog, placing an order, retrieving a COA — completable with those tools.
We target WCAG 2.1 Level AA as our standard.
| Area | Status |
|---|---|
| Public website | Substantially conformant — the majority of Level AA criteria are met; the exceptions are listed in section 04 |
| Provider portal | Partially conformant — core ordering flows are usable; some interactive components are still being remediated |
| PDF documents | Partially conformant — newer documents are tagged; older COA archives may not be |
"Substantially conformant" means most of the standard is met with known, documented exceptions. We describe our status honestly rather than claiming full conformance we have not verified.
We would rather name these than let you discover them:
We test with current versions of the following combinations:
| Assistive technology | Tested with |
|---|---|
| NVDA | Firefox and Chrome on Windows |
| JAWS | Chrome on Windows |
| VoiceOver | Safari on macOS and iOS |
| Keyboard only | All supported browsers |
| Magnification | Browser zoom to 200% and OS-level magnifiers |
Testing combines automated scanning with manual keyboard and screen-reader walkthroughs of the tasks that matter most: applying, ordering, and retrieving documentation.
Protocol libraries, price books, and certificates of analysis are distributed as PDFs. New documents are produced with tagged structure, real text, and a logical reading order. If you need any document in an accessible format — tagged PDF, plain text, large print, or a structured spreadsheet — email your account specialist and we will supply it at no cost. We aim to turn these around within two business days.
Accessibility is reviewed on an ongoing basis rather than once a year:
If something on this site or in the portal blocks you, tell us and we will fix it — and in the meantime we will get you what you need another way.
Please include the page or screen, what you were trying to do, the browser and assistive technology you were using, and what happened. That detail is usually the difference between a fast fix and a slow one.
We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within two business days and to give you a remediation timeline or a workaround at that point.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may ask that your report be escalated for formal review by emailing us with "Accessibility escalation" in the subject line. We will respond in writing with our findings and planned action.
A person reads this address. Include the page, your assistive technology, and what you were trying to do.
